At South Maitland, we are firm believers that Development Ignites Passion. As a club rooted in our strong community and guided by a Community First approach, we are committed to nurturing future stars through the right development opportunities to help them achieve their footballing goals.

Clear Vision.

South Maitland is a club with a Clear Vision to be a force in Maitland and the greater Newcastle-Hunter Valley region. We aim to shape the future of football in our region by fostering talent and igniting a lifelong passion for the game.

CREST & COLOURS

The club’s crest is adorned with the legendary Phoenix symbolising new beginnings. Our members seek their own new beginnings under the crest of the Phoenix with some looking to transition to more competitive grades of football and others looking to show the way for up and coming youth.

BLACK – Black represents the East Greta Coal Mining Company, a major contributor to the growth of the Maitland area, established in 1891.

BLUE – Blue represents the Hunter river, the main water source for the Wonnarua people, and first settled by the European population in the 1790s.

GOLD – Gold represents the future success of the club through the continued growth and development of players and staff.
