Jacob Richards Appointed as Technical Director

South Maitland FC is thrilled to welcome ex-Newcastle Jets Youth Coach, Jacob Richards as our new Technical Director for 2025.

With a wealth of experience in the game, Jacob holds a Football Australia/AFC C License and has coached at top levels, including Bulleen Lions u23 in the NPL Victoria. Weston Bears u15, u16, u18 in the NPL NNSW and Newcastle Jets u18 in the NPL NSW

Starting effective immediately, Jacob will help grow our juniors program, with a focus on A-Grade development youth teams from under 10s through to under 18s. His passion and experience will be key in helping grow South Maitland FC.

Jacob, who has also played for SMFC and will return next season, shares:
